The dining experience wowed us, especially the scrumptious French bread-an absolute treat! We thoroughly enjoyed the local culinary options, with an evening meal that was well-cooked and sensibly priced. Plus, the new owners are turning this place around, and the views? Simply fine!

My room felt tired and dirty upon arrival, with plaster missing from the wall and a bit of a musty smell lingering in the air. The air conditioning heating unit was a mess, dusty and fluffy, and it took forever to warm up the cold room. Signing in was a headache. The lack of clear signage led me right into the bar instead of the reception. The breakfast options were limited, and the dining area had an unpleasant dog smell, which didn't inspire much confidence in the cleanliness. It needs a serious refurb to bring it up to snuff.

Check the local walking routes for scenic trails. Rowberrow Warren is just a short walk away and perfect for nature lovers.

during my stay, I loved that I could easily walk to King John's Hunting Lodge, just over 2 km away, and enjoyed exploring Rowberrow Warren, perfect for a scenic stroll amidst nature's beauty.

The breakfast was a good surprise, with a good variety of options available. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The hotel's location made it easy to access scenic walking trails nearby.

The entrance signage was somewhat confusing, made finding the reception tricky.

The superior quadruple room offered super comfy beds which my children appreciated after a long day. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast with perfectly cooked eggs and found the staff to be helpful. The hotel could benefit from some updates. Parts of the facility felt dated, and clearer signage at the entrance would be useful. Despite these issues, the good value for money makes us eager to return.
